Day 4: Transition
Once the family was clear about mum’s wishes I arranged to see the consultant and ended up having a massive row in front of my poor mum. The consultant wanted to continue chemotherapy and I wanted mum’s wishes to be paramount. So after a very noisy and public row the consultant noted mum's wishes and explained that she would be referred to St Christopher’s Hospice, but would only go there once a bed was found.
